It is not possible for everyone to have a dedicated journaling only space
but finding a comfortable, safe space for you to journal sets you up to get the best outcomes.
Your journaling space doesn’t have to be quiet or alone; as this can be a tough call in a busy household.
But there are ways you can create your space even amidst the chaos:
Ensure you have enough physical space to place your journal and write.
Ensure your physical comfort; make sure you have a comfortable chair and appropriate lighting.
Utilise your phone to create mental space, grab a pair of earbuds or headphones, download a mediation or relaxation app such as Insight Timer or Calm.
Find some calming background music or noise to create ambient space between your ears, and drown out any family or housemate background noise.
